Background:

At the forefront of pediatric medical research, Seattle Children's Research Institute (SCRI) is working to cure childhood disease in partnership with Seattle Children's Hospital and Seattle Children's Hospital and Research Foundation. The institute consists of nine major centers and is internationally recognized for its work in cancer, genetic, immunology, pathology, infectious disease, injury prevention, and bioethics.


Scope and Qualifications:

The Grants & Contract Administrator is responsible for managing grant and contract proposal preparation, fiscal process review and budget development, effort management, closeout and reporting oversight, and maintenance of grant management tracking systems. The Grants & Contract Administrator serves as a liaison between the Center Business Officer, Principal Investigators (PI), fiscal and administrative support personnel, clinical research staff, and central Research Support Services divisions. The job entails:

  • Grant and contract project development and management (pre-award)
  • Coordination of progress reports
  • Research account project management
  • Maintenance of grants management tracking systems
  • Participation in training and development activities

The ideal candidate has: at least five years administrative and/or management experience; at least three years experience managing federal and non-federal grant applications, award processes, and post-award grants management. Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
